I have fibromyalgia and have been
told of a brew that really helps with
the pain;so thought I'd share it with
you all! Boil at least 2 cups of water
and sprinkle ground nutmeg to cover
the surface of the water. Turn down
the heat under the cooking vessel,
cover and steep for 10 minutes. Pour
a cup of the brew through a seive into
a drinking vessel and enjoy! A sweetner
maybe used if desired;but I have found
that the nutmeg is natually sweet enough.
You can either use already ground nutmeg
or freshly ground for the soothing effects.
A cup of the nutmeg brew can be consumed
every 4 hours as needed for the pain. _________________ In Blood We Trust,

Thank you for that, My girlfriend has fibro as well and I'm going to ask her to try it and with luck she'll feel a little bit better. _________________ "When I swear that I don't have a gun" Probably means I'm still carrying a Knife. |

Well, she's not good with decoctions, coffee and iced tea-that's about it. However the nutmeg did cure a slight headache but, also created mild nausea. That's the thing about fibro, what works for some may not work for others. Though the room smells like peppermint after application, theragesic seems to be helping the best right now outside of the medication regimen. _________________ "When I swear that I don't have a gun" Probably means I'm still carrying a Knife. |
